The Kindness Found in Black Indelible Ink.

The Kindness Found in Black Indelible Ink.

A few weeks ago our youngest had his birthday.

After opening his presents, we headed up to . . .

Seems like on a Saturday morning, the Waffle House was a popular place to be. And even with two Waffle Houses within a half mile of each other all the booths at this one were taken.

So we sat at the counter. Which I love. Because you get to observe all the wonderful Waffle House-ness Up Close and Personal.

And my little Lego-obsessed birthday man was having a big ole time.

Breakfast came and we ate.

But somebody was so interested in putting together his present, that he wanted to take his waffle home.

This waitress (Waffle Houses have the BEST waitresses in the entire universe — my apologies to all the wait staff out there) searched in vain to find a candle to stick in his waffle when it was served.

So she did the next best thing.

People and birthdays are wonderful things.

Don’t cha think?
