That’s what I loved about art…there’s never a wrong answer.

That’s what I loved about art…there’s never a wrong answer.

Okay.

Maybe some folks are more creative thinkers. Maybe some have more skill. And probably some don’t put forth all effort.

But there is never a wrong answer in art and you won’t be able to convince me otherwise.

Yesterday afternoon the Madison Cultural Center held an Art Exhibit of the K – 12 grades of the Morgan County Schools.

I love this stuff.

First cool thing….

Meet Nyeijuan Mack.

He’s a senior like my son. I knew him from way back — maybe even kindergarten. When I started going to these things a few years ago and I was drawn to some incredible work and I read Nyeijuan Mack.

Nyeijuan Mack like from kindergarten?

I told him all this yesterday.

“You know that there aren’t many people who can draw realistic like this,” I said to him.

He kind of smiled.

Very cool.

He said he’s always been drawing as far back as he can remember.

Can’t wait to see where his art takes him.

I told him this and now I’m telling you.

Then we looked for my daughter’s work.

First we found her art teacher, Laura Rice.

She took our picture with my daughter’s picture.

Cheese.

It looks like I’m giving her art the third finger. Well, I am — but she was going so nuts that I was pointing to her drawing like a goofy mom — that my hand panicked.  (Not the first time, probably not the last.)

Then we found my son’s teacher Ms. Ryals.

Saw lots of familiar faces.

That’s about it for my report.

The photography wasn’t the best I know…but what do we know above all else?

In art and camera phone technology, there aren’t any wrong answers.

Bad pictures, yes. Wrong photos, no.

What do you think?
