Musing on staying awake.
1:48 a.m.
That’s what my phone said when I looked at it this morning. The alarm was set for 3:45 a.m.

Another ungodly hour
but not as ungodly as 1:48. The light was on in the bathroom, my husband was snoring, I felt achy and my mind started racing to a hundred different things I don’t want to remember now for fear that I can’t fall asleep tonight.
I got up at 3:15 and started packing the car.
To be fair, Hubby got up too since sleep had escaped him after I attempted to halt his snoring.
But he slept from Ocala to the Georgia line. They all slept from Ocala to the Georgia line. At that point he started driving and I was to sleep. But I didn’t.
Kept checking e-mails, reading online stuff, blogs.
Got to thinking. Do our brains rest like they used to? Do they ever relax like they should?
Why is it so hard to relax…it’s like I don’t even consider not doing something, anything…never resting.
That’s weird. Very weird considering the young adult I was. The young adult who like to rest very much.
She did get lots of headaches. I don’t seem to get those very much anymore.
I wish you lots of rest tonight and nary a tiny head hurt.

In fairness I only slept on the drive home so I could be fresh when I got home. That way I could watch the children when we got home so you could write.
I strive for fairness and absolute unbiased reporting of life’s twists and turns. Sometimes I am forced to uncover unflattering moments.
No way to treat a media star.
As one who cannot sleep in a car, (or in a plane-even across the ocean) I usually “get elected” (or choose) to do the driving as my husband can manage to sleep even while driving:) I hope you got a good night sleep once arriving home!! Happy New Year -Anne
Happy New Year to you. I did sleep v well. Turned off my alarm after hitting the snooze twice. And I can’t sleep on planes either. When did that happen? Take care.
