Moonlight over Madison. (Almost moonlight.)
My 11 year old and I are running partners. As a team, we are raising money for the Ronald McDonald House of Central Georgia.
That 10K race isn’t till February so I try to coax him out to do a few miles. We have a 5K on the agenda next Sunday.
That could be very fun. Or turn out very not so fun.
Regardless, we have to get out there and run.
Last night we hit the pavement.
And ran by Madison’s skyscraper.
It was so nice and warm.
Lots of y’all are freezing right now.
But last night around here, it was perfect.
When we got up to the Courthouse and the square — I had an ephiphany.
Veterans Day.
This was going to be my blog post for last night.
Then I saw that documentary on Diana Nyad and thought it was so cool, I blogged about that.
That’s NaBloPoMo for me.
No. That’s life.
My intentions interrupted by something completely unrelated but in the end it all works out.
I think.
No.
Not sure.
At all.
Definitely I think I’m not sure, at all.
Day 12.
Love it! You just have to go with the flow – especially during NaBloPoMo. Hey, I just wrote a poem! See, you are so inspiring!
Lois. You’re a poet and didn’t know it. Good grief. I’m NaBloPoMo slap-happy and it’s only Day 12.
I love that you are running the race with your son. Reading your post has inspired me to consider writing about a fundraiser/race my oldest son and I ran together when he was 15. Oy. That was…12 years ago! Do not blink Jamie, do not blink…time zips past when you do. 🙂
I’d love to read about it, Elin. I know. I feel some days like I’ll blink and life will be gone.
Love that Navy flag with the sun glinting through. 🙂
Yes. Go Navy. That was a street light. 🙂
I love the twilight shots of the Madison skyline. Really lovely actually.
