The Madison Fitness Triathlon. Today’s muse. Lots of pics of hot volunteers. (I’m not talkn’ UT)
My alarm went off about 4:30 this morning.
A Sunday for pity’s sake.
And my first thought was….thank God I’m not doing that triathlon today.
I got up. I did some work.
Then at 7:35, I road with my husband down to the start of the triathlon because he was giving the devotional. (Go figure.)
Not that I don’t love triathlons. I love doing them when I am prepared to do them.
I rode my bike twice in the last two months. Nuff said.
* * *
But when I got there this morning and saw all those tri-clad guys and gals running around transition, I thought…darn. I should have at least done a relay.
Call me a girl for not doing at least one leg of a relay.
So here are some pics from the start. Because we left soon after Johnny did his thang.
Then it was time for start in the Aquatics Center.
Darn it. I forgot to bring Andy back his towel. (Andy, the towel is laundered and sitting by my back door. Obviously forgotten this a.m.)
Dorothy, John later said that he didn’t realize volunteering for body-marking was an option.
And then it was time for me to go home and get the family ready for church.
Stopped by transition to wish team Bryant, Bone and Abney well.
Introduced myself to this cute woman from Gray, Jennifer. Got to like her uniform.
Another great event in a great town.
Next year might be in the pool with you.
What’s the last athletic event you participated in?
