Musing on a random Saturday morning.

Musing on a random Saturday morning.

First off… this is my husband’s phone’s ID for me. Is this normal?

Then I got a email from my mother.

Part of her note referenced my Thanksiving column.

“Read your article  about the 1620 Thanksgiving.  You called Edward Doty  Uncle.  Edward Doty,
Edward Fuller, wife and son, Samuel were all your  14 times and 13 times Great  GRANDPARENTS.
Samuel Fuller  (Mayflower doctor) was Ed Fuller’s brother.   So he was Uncle.   Young Sam went tolive with him when his parents died. “

My reply:

“You are correct.  I guess…I just was using a familiar familial term..
Nothing more was intended.   We would love to have you visit… j”

Waffle House for breakfast.

This is a 17 year old who just learned he had to stay put and babysit tonight.

My beloved.

Joe. Before eating a breakfast of bacon.

A disturbed patron (foreground) who needs to look into botox. Though the guy behind her had a real hard time getting his eggs right.

Very funny. When did I get so old? Glad I’m getting old with you. Keep on writing!

  2. Jamie Miles says:

Sorry about you getting old. I have chosen to abstain from that .

  3. Jean Fischer says:

Jamie, are you really related to Edward Doty from the Mayflower? Me, too!

  4. Jamie Miles says:

We’re family! It was through him that my family line moved from MA to NJ then to NC (Nancy Doty) in 1763 to GA in 1794. Too funny..we need to swap notes. He must have been a writer too. Or at least kept a diary. 🙂
