Today’s Muse. Time to Commit.

Today’s Muse. Time to Commit.

Time to commit? It’s only Day 7.

October has an "r". Time to dive to the bottom of pile.

I’ve made it seven days into the treasures of the transformed life. I feel a bit changed. The nail on my pinky finger grew 1/4 of an inch this week.

Mathison poses…Commitment is the foundation on which everything else will be built.

That’s true. Any goal: 20 pounds to lose, staying employed or trying to bathe every third day requires commitment.

“God wants to be involved in the major and minor details of your life.”

For what am I thirsty?

Peace. And a drink looking off into the sunset on the beaches of the Turks and Caicos.

What do I need to take to God that I thought was to small for him?

Patience at 6 o’clock in the afternoon when I’m coming unglued. That and rice that won’t stick on Thanksgiving

What will it take to give God more of myself?

An alarm clock.

Am I in a church in which I’m called or merely comfortable?

Is it possible to be in a church you’re called but act like you’re in a church you’re merely comfortable?

Who do I need to love, regardless how I feel about them?

Tebow. (our lab)

Am I willing to get a little more wet?

Could I totally submerse and just hold my breath at the bottom of the pool?

What are your thoughts on this first week of reading?

One response to “Today’s Muse. Time to Commit.”

  1. John Miles says:

What jumped out at me was “the way we connect to God and soak up liiving water is through prayer.” never thought of prayer this way. Don’t know if I agree.
