The best part of cleaning up is . . . help me with this people.

The best part of cleaning up is . . . help me with this people.

The hardest part of my day is Β . . .

That’s our Finish the Sentence Friday prompt.

Waking up, Waking up, Waking up.

But I bet lots of people put that.

So my number two answer would be . . .

The hardest part of my day is cleaning up.

Cleaning up, Cleaning up, Cleaning up.

My husband if he reads this is asking himself, “She cleans up?’

Yes, silly I do.

And I hate every minute of it.

Now I love things neat and picked up. Just darn the time drain needed to pick up and put back.

Especially when you live with a bunch of use-it-and-drop-it-where-I-used-it people.

Dental floss, scissors, paper (cut with said scissors), graham cracker boxes.

The dirty dishes to make it to the kitchen sink but only so far. Dirty drinking glasses. For some odd reason, this subset of dirty dishes does not make it to the sink. The milk, lemonade, Gatorade is drained and there the glass sits.

Just stepped into the room my children were playing games on the telly late into the night.

It’s like I’ve got nothing better to do with my time than pick up.

I’ve got no one to blame but myself.

For all they know, drinking containers magically transport themselves to the shelves again. All clean and pretty and ready to fill with a drink and leave sitting on a table.

  1. Lots of people did put that. I so don’t have that problem. I guess because I got to bed early. I didn’t say I was friendly now πŸ˜‰ I’m being all nosey and looking past the empty drinks – I love your color scheme. I like things neat and tidy too but I don’ t like to pick up after people. I just bought my husband and “in box” for his business mail because it was spread all over the dining room table. It’s still on the dining room table but at least its in one place.

  2. So guilty of putting waking up, but seriously so busy th rest of the day I don’t even notice the half of the half. But I too do my fair share of cleaning. The worst for me is the toilets and dusting. I know they just happen to be me least favorite!! Thanks as always for linking up with us!! πŸ™‚

  3. Oh, I am with you! Glad I am not the only one who has drinking glasses that multiply and refuse to walk themselves to the kitchen. I get so tired of “tidying up” that I… well, sometimes I just don’t do it. πŸ™

  4. Yes, getting up is hard and I’m glad to know that I’m not alone with their being glasses all over the house. Sadly, they’re often mine (at my desk right now there is an almost-empty diet coke and this morning’s coffee!

  5. I JUST pinned this, yesterday – http://pinterest.com/pin/242983342368413800/
I need it made into art for the wall – where my whole family can see it!

  6. Considerer says:

I’m not sure husbands really ‘see’ the cleaning up. Especially when it needs doing…

  7. Oh you are hilarious! The hardest part of my day is figuring out what to eat. I know it sounds crazy but as a Part-Time-Single-Mom some nights it’s just three of us and the kids don’t eat that much. Then I don’t eat that much. Other nights Dad is home and I need to cook but I’m out of the habit so it’s hard to think about. It’s a constant struggle. Oy! A personal chef would be well used in my house – for sure!!

  8. Kate Hall says:

Ugh, I hate cleaning up too. I do the bare minimum everyday – dishes. Anything beyond that is awesome. I really feel successful when I go beyond that. I love setting my standards low. LOL!
