My eggs have facial hair.
I’ll probably be the 85-year-old lady dying Easter eggs.
And carving pumpkins in the fall.
Luckily for me, I have one child still young enough to want to join me.
We put the tablets in the vinegar.
And filled them with a half cup of water.
Then dumped in the eggs.
Then my son started writing on the white eggs with the crayon.
So I had to try too.
I made my design on the egg.
You can’t see what I drew can you?
Since I was planning to dip it into the red dye, I drew a heart.
Then remembering it was Easter and not Valentines I drew a cross . . .
With a handlebar mustache.
No, silly.
I was supposed to be a cloth draped across the cross.
But it looks like the cross is wearing a mustache.
How about you?
Coloring any eggs this year?

haha. I think I like the mustache better 😉 And you’ve reminded me! Next time I’m at Target. Must. Grab. Those. Tablets. Is it really Easter already???
I can’t wait to color Easter eggs with my kids next week when they have Spring Break. It’ll probably just be me and the girls – my boy is too “big” for it now!!! We always use the wax crayons to draw on them. 🙂
Hey, you know, at some point you’ll probably have grandchildren to do this stuff with! I think, personally, that when we let go of traditions, we lose some sense of excitement for the seasons. You know? And yes, totally a mustache! 🙂
I kinda love how you’re not exactly sure how it’s going to look when you draw on them. I like your cross with a ‘stache. 😉
Yeah, that’s a mustache lol! I miss dying eggs. We are painting wooden eggs because of Plum’s allergy but it’s not the same. I could smell the vinegar through your pictures 😉
Love those photos, Jamie. And I could totally tell it was a cloth draped cross.
We’ll definitely be dying eggs, and having jelly bean hunts, and Easter egg hunts. I’ll probably do all of those things when my kids are too old as well. 🙂
xo
I can hardly believe it is time for decorating eggs. Love those vibrant colours in your photos!
