I committed to better Abs and Arms. My husband faded eight days in . . .
Granted we’ve been busy. But when you commit to a challenge that’s serious business.
Or so I thought.
November may be the month of Thanksgiving.
November may be the month of NaBloPoMo. NaNoWriMo.
But in our household November is the month of the Ab/Arm Challenge.
My husband and I commited a month to get our arms and abs looking like . . . well, better than they did November 1st.
Here is our refrigerator.
Thirty sit-ups and 30 push-ups every day. Things progressed swimmingly. Until my husband got an attitude.
I asked him tonight why he refused to do his 30/30 today.
His response: “I refuse to be manipulated. I don’t need to prove my abs exist. They are there. They are just covered in fat.”
He’s saying I’m getting too competitive with this.
It’s a challenge for pity’s sake.
He refuses to say whether he will proceed with the challenge tomorrow.
Good grief. Doesn’t anybody want to have a little fun around here?
Thoughts?
NaBloPoMo Day 8 . . .
I love challenges Jamie. In fact I am in one too, different, it’s a combination of eating healthy and exercising. The participants are all in a FB group, all women and it has been wonderful. We support each other. Good days, some difficult, but mostly everyone is doing great. I say keep it up if it makes you feel good, your husband will probably follow suit.
You are probably right Elin — we do like to kid each other. And throw in a good healthy dose of competition.
Already did my workout for today
