Wouldn’t it be nice…awesome even?
Sitting here on my porch.
I escaped from church early and walked home.
Actually, the fabulous women I meet with every week at 10 a.m. — were not meeting this week because of holiday. So after the contemporary service I came home and checked in on Jana’s Stream of Consciousness Sunday prompt.
“Wouldn’t it be awesome if… {fill in the blank}?”
* Wouldn’t it be awesome if — only for me — one hour of the day would expand into 12 hours. I could clean and work for six and sleep for six then get up for lunch.
* Wouldn’t if be awesome if I could drink coffee all day without feeling a bit antsy and not getting this wee headache I have.
* Calories were just a evil metaphor in a Grimm’s Fairy Tale.
* Cancer became as polio.
* Every child could be raised in love.
* My joints became 2 decades younger while I sat writing this post.
* The Presbyterian Blue Hose beat Georgia Tech next weekend.
* I had friend chicken for lunch.
* * *
Oops. Just spotted that last typo but I’m gonna follow the rules.
This was my 5 minute Stream of Consciousness Sunday post. It’s five minutes of your time and a brain dump. Want to try it? Here are the rules…
- Set a timer and write for 5 minutes.
- Write an intro to the post if you want but don’t edit the post. No proofreading or spellchecking. This is writing in the raw.
- Publish it somewhere. Anywhere. The back door to your blog if you want. But make it accessible.
Hope you have an awesome holiday weekend.
What would be awesome for you?

Great list. My old joints could use a bit of help, too!
The typo was cute 😉 – and gave me a chuckle. Thanks for following the rules. I love coffee too. I don’t know where you are in the world or US, but the last time I drank too much coffee we had an freaky little earthquake here on the East Coast – I thought I was trembling from the caffeine. Now I keep it at a cup or two in the morning – anything after is decaf 😉
Friend chicken sounds interesting. 😉 But a friend over for fried chicken sounds even better!!
I loved this. I love the wishful thinking prompt today, it’s been fun!
My joints became 2 decades younger while I sat writing this post.
Oh goodness yes! What I would do to get my 28-year old joints back.
Yes Dana. Though mine would be my 29-year-old joints.
Love fried chicken, but hate that it exists without your idea of calories existing, too.
Great list!
I would love younger joints. And friend chicken 🙂 xoxo
