The same old me.
This is a day that much was accomplished in my household.
With the help of a friend, the assault on my attic started. I got out and sowed grass seed to cover the three-quarters of my garden that I have reclaimed to the lawn.
But it would not be a great Monday without stopping by and completing my list of ten with Stasha. Her challenge this week from Christine @Random Reflectionz.
The challenge this week: 10 WAYS YOU ARE THE SAME OR DIFFERENT THAN YOUR YOUNGER SELF
10. I was a blond till the age of three. I turned blond again . . . 40 years later.
9. I’d always rather see a really well-written comedy over a well-written drama any day.
8. I’m a huge happy crier. At eight, I cried when Willy Wonka gave Charile the Chocolate Factory. And last Christmas, I cried at the end of It’s a Wonderful Life (for the 30th time).
7. I get irrationally excited about what 20 year olds do on a football field. Especially if they play for the University of Florida. Always have. Probably always will.
6. I love music. Loud. My husband hates this about me.
5. I love candy corn. As a child, I’d rather eat a bowl of beets than candy corn. Now as an adult, I love the buttery, sugary power-packed punch of a solitary candy.
4. I love vegetables. I just planted collards, turnip greens and cabbage in my side yard — and I am excited. The seven-year-old me? Not so much.
3. Dogs rule. I love all animals but the needy in me has always love the unadulterated worship of a great dog.
2. I’m a mess. I can’t organize my earrings. At six — my desk at school was cramped full of notebook paper and lost library books.
1. I’m goofy. I asked my husband what is the one consistent thing about me he’s noticed in all time we’ve been together. I agree.
What about you? What has stayed the same all your life?
