Ordinary Good.

Been missing my blog the last few days trying to get some work finished.

So want to stop just for a minutes, reconnect with the blogosphere and link up with Five Minute Friday.

Unedited writing. Probably not very clever for me at this point — but here we go  . . .

Our prompt: Ordinary

Go.

When I was young, I would have said that there is nothing worse than ordinary.

Sameness, boring days. One sunset sliding into the next dawn.

But now that I am older, ordinary isn’t so bad.

For now I know of friends who get sick — like not just flu-sick, the sick that takes-over-your-healthy body sick.

I know of financial difficulties — not just a day when I dip below zero in my account, but lose-your-house financial difficulties.

I know of stress caused by uncertainty and children and jobs.

Ordinary seems safe and welcome.

If only it could seem adventurous as well.

For now I’ll just take boring.

What about you? Is ordinary good or bad these days?

Linking up with Lisa-Jo Baker and  . . .
