laid an egg.
Our Watermelon Jr. he was a she.
Though we are not new to tortoises, my daughter googled what Eastern Box Turtles like to eat.
Many things were listed. For some reason, she lasered on to tomatoes.
I have a garden full of tomatoes. They are just green.
Until today, when my daughter found a handful of green grape tomatoes that had turned red.
And she showed one to Watermelon Jr.
She opened those snappers and
chomp.
She kept eating the tomatoes.
Sometimes I think I could never be surprised.
Watermelon Jr. surprised me today.
