Build it and they will come. If it’s free — they will come faster.
Free is good.
Free entertainment and something that your child can learn from is better.
This summer I spent some time with my sister.
As scattered as I am, my sister is T-Squared.
A CPA by education, her other vocation is saving money. Or getting things for free. She has a PhD in that.
While we were together I mentioned how much my son loves creating things. He has great notions for every spare shard of wood that crosses his path.
Though I’m well-intentioned to help him build away each weekend, we’ve all heard what the road to hell is paved with.
My sister suggested free workshops she knew of through Lowe’s.
And we went a few weekends ago. And we are going this weekend.
This is not a sponsored post for Lowe’s. I knew workshops like these existed. I never took advantage of them.
When I took the time to register online, my children had a great time.
Lots of people and children we knew showed up.
I think this shirt was clean when we left the house.
The next workshop is this weekend. So sign up. And hammer away.
Any more suggestions for good free fun?

Well, this is awesome! I had no idea Lowe’s had kids’ workshops. Thanks! Would give us something to do during boring Ohio winters.
