Joy. It’s the pink candle.

Joy.

In the Christian season of Advent, last Sunday in church we lit the pink candle which represents joy.

As we lit then pink Joy candle during our family advent time, my daughter started asking questions . . .

What does joy taste like?

What does joy feel like?

This got my noodle noodling so I’m going to combine her exercise with Mama’s Losin’ It Writer’s Workshop prompt 5.)

List the top 9 things that bring you joy.

9.  Joy tastes like a Spiced Chai Latte with whipped cream.

8.  Joy feels like sliding between to crisp 1,200 thread count sheets.

7.   Joy smells like crisp winter air in the mountains with a hint of smoke from a wood burning fire.

6.   Joy looks like  a mother’s countenance as she coaxes  her firstborn to his first steps.

5.   Joy sounds like the waves breaking against the shore on a warm summer’s night.

4.  Joy tastes like cheesecake.

3.   Joy feels like massage that lasts as long as you want.

2.   Joy smells like pine.

1.   Joy looks like me if I ever get a new dishwasher.

  1. I love this post! I never thought of adding the taste, smell, and feel of joy! For me joy tastes like a wonderful Hazelnut Mocha Latte with whipped cream and chocolate shavings! Lovely post, Happy Thursday!
